We have an exciting opportunity for an assistant psychologist with experience of working with psychosis in adult mental health settings to join our new Community Rehabilitation Team in our Rehabilitation Service Pathway.As part of the pathway, we also have a dedicated inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, called Somerset Villas based a Chase Farm Hospital site and a local ‘step-down’ community home for people who are ready to move from this inpatient unit while still requiring some further work to improve their recovery.
The community home offers a multi-disciplinary specialist rehabilitation service for people recovering from and coping with varying degrees of psychosis and provides a range of skills based and social inclusion oriented interventions aimed at enabling individuals to regain functioning in key aspects of their lives and to manage their physical and mental health needs.
The duties of the post holder will include:
- Co-facilitating therapy groups
- Holding a small caseload of therapy of patients under supervision of a qualified psychologist
- Supporting the management of the waiting lists
- Working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
- Outcome measure collection and auditing
- To be involved in new service developments within the team
