Description:

As contract manager, you are the lynchpin between procurement and the project management organization for the creation and management of contracts on large-scale multidisciplinary investment projects.

What do we ask of you?

- Monitor the project-specific contract management process

- Support the project manager by creating a contract overview

- Support the project manager with regard to communication;

- Collaborate with procurement where necessary regarding contracts;

- Peer reviewing contracts;

- Ensure that the established project approach is integrated into all contracts including associated risk mitigation strategies.

- Monitor contractual changes per contractor during the term of the contract.

- Advise on the application of various contract types.

- Building good relationships between procurement and the project team.

- Taking initiative when you see opportunities for standardization in contracts.

- As part of a team of contract managers, actively contribute to the realization of an ambitious roadmap for structurally improving and embedding contract management in the project organization.

When the contract is awarded, you are responsible for monitoring the performance of both the contractor and your own project organization in relation to the agreements laid down in the contract. Where you see opportunities for optimization, you implement them. To achieve this, we expect the following from you.

- Benchmarking contracts.

- Setting up and maintaining a process for tracking changes to contracts.

- You have your own contracts and changes to contracts reviewed by a colleague and are open to their feedback. In return, you also take the time to return this favor.

- Expedite agreements set out in the contract, check compliance with contracts according to the processes and procedures established for this purpose, and report on this.

- Creating reports, summary and analyses in relation to the contracts.

- Set up records to document additional and less work, delays (internal/external), Non Conformities, complaints and concerns.

- Support project teams in disputes with contractors.

- Implement changes to contracts as a result of experience gained on other projects.

- Assist with contract-related legal matters where necessary.

Finally, the contract manager has a role in coaching and training the project team in the contract management process, procedures and contract documentation.

- You have experience in the field of contract management or procurement of goods and services for complex technical installations in an industrial environment

- You have demonstrable experience with and/or knowledge of complex contracts (EPC, EPCM, Fidic, construction team agreements)

- You have a completed education at at least HBO level and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

- You have a good command of Dutch and English in word and writing. Demonstrable experience or training in contractual or legal writing is a plus.
