The position
By joining our team in Projects, Drilling & Procurement you will have the opportunity to:- Take the position as field instrumentation discipline/lead engineer in development projects for all phases, from feasibility studies to construction and hand-over, within Oil & Gas, Hydrogen (H2) and Carbon Capture (CCS) projects.
- Be responsible for the field instrumentation design in various projects. This will involve participation in inhouse feasibility studies and further project maturation in close cooperation with our contractors and suppliers.
- Establish field instrumentation philosophy.
- Follow up and guide contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare technical requirements and tender documentation.
- Follow up fabrication, testing and installation.
- Contribute to internal and external improvement activities and development of the field instrumentation competence within Equinor.
This is an exciting opportunity to join this project with a diverse portfolio in carbon capture, brownfield and greenfield there will be lots of opportunities to develop, we are looking for someone with a passion in instrumentation to join our team.

- Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within automation engineering/ field instrumentation with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with project execution.
- Good knowledge of rules/regulations, standards, and technical requirements within the automation discipline.
- Flexibility towards work tasks and location is essential, some international and domestic travel will be required.
- Experience from hydrogen and multidiscipline skills within automation and elctro would be advantageous.
- High ethical standards and adherence to ethical requirements.
- Ability to handle high workload.
- Proficiency in English.
